As a female-led, Australian impact startup, everything we do and plan to do is founded on our belief that we need to be kinder to each other and our planet.
Our mission is to inspire and empower—to take better care of ourselves, each other, and our planet by supporting responsible and ethical online communication and collaboration.
As global citizens, we all have an important role to play in improving the health and well-being everyone, both current and future generations.
And because human-related activities have caused the climate crisis, we all need to be part of the solution. Some of the critical areas of focus is to mitigate green-house gas emissions, stop plastic and chemical pollution, and reverse biodiversity loss to help regenerate our planet.
Yes, there is a Glimmer of hope. It starts with you. Together, we can create a better world for all.
Right now, you’re probably asking yourself how can we do this?
Well, we can start the conversation by asking ourselves how our behaviours and lifestyle choices are impacting not only our well-being and prosperity, but also that of others, and our planet. We need to remember that our actions and inactions have an impact—they are all interconnected.
Yes, there is a growing number of like-minded people, and you may be one of them, making positive lifestyle choices for a more sustainable future.
But I think you’ll agree, that there are still many more who may not be fully aware, or understand, how sustainability critically contributes to the future of our planet.
We aim to shed light on how a lack of concern is accelerating climate change, harming our livelihoods and the planet on which we depend.
We strongly believe that we have a social and moral responsibility to help raise awareness on sustainability to improve the well-being of people and our planet. Therefore, at Glimmer, one of our core goals is to amplify the importance of sustainability with integrity.
Glimmer is committed to amplifying public awareness of our shared social and environmental responsibilities. Because we believe that when we are better informed, we can all make better decisions.
Our goal is for people to be inspired and empowered. To act responsibly and be everyday heroes.
And if you haven’t already, we encourage you to take that first important step today. Because together, we can do much more and much better to help improve the health and well-being of people, and the planet that sustains all life.
To protect our own lives and that of future generations, we need to regenerate biodiversity and better protect our oceans, the land—our planet.
By taking simple, actionable steps today, we can help reduce the harms we have caused our planet. Together, we can act now to better support the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
We take our social and environmental responsibilities seriously. To create a more sustainable future for everyone on planet Earth, we need your cooperation.
We need collective action—we need global collaboration. Partnerships are vital.
At Glimmer, we believe that individuals, businesses, governmental and non-governmental organisations, charities, not-for-profits, purpose-driven organisations, and nations, ought to encourage each other to go above and beyond to accelerate collective social and environmental action. We need to collaborate to sustain and restore our planet and build a brighter, fairer, and more climate-resilient future!
As a dedicated platform for sustainability networking, Glimmer promotes awareness of businesses and organisations committed to social and environmental sustainability (SES).
Glimmer enables companies to showcase their climate change and sustainability policies, social and environmental sustainability initiatives, and impact through more ethical practices and products. Businesses can communicate and collaborate with individuals and other businesses and organisations, and strive to improve their sustainability practices and achieve net-zero emissions targets faster.
We’ll highlight the often-untold or unheard stories of the many ordinary individuals, communities, businesses, and organisations that are doing good for the greater good.
People and companies doing extraordinary things and are committed to uplifting society, preventing biodiversity loss, and protecting and restoring the planet.
